IQAC – Govinda Dasa College, Golden Jubilee Committee-H.V.Sangha, Suratkal, Samskritha Sangha & Samskritha Bharathi, Mangaluru, Dept. of Samskritha of Govinda Dasa College & P U College jointly organised a conference related to study of samskritha literature & its cultural aspects on 18th January 2018 in the hall of GDPU College. Vageesha S. Asst. Professor GDC & Venkataramana. Lecturer GDPUC were the co-ordinators. Program was inaugurated by Sri Ramananda Bhat, Chief Priest & Managing Trustee of Iddya Mahalingeshwara Temple. Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC & Sri Harikrishna Punarooru were the Guests. First Session was addressed by Sri Satyanarayan, All India Secretary of Samskritha Bharathi & Prof. Ashwini Chaturvedi of NITK Suratkal. Resource Person for the second session was Vidwan Dr. Udupi Ramanatha Acharya, Shatavadhani. Dr. B. M. Muralidhara Rao, Principal of GDC & Smt. Lakshmi, Principal GDPUC graced the occasion. IQAC co-ordinator Dr. Shivashankara Bhat guided & co-operated in the success of the conference. Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. B M Muralidhara Rao, Principal of GDC. About 300 people attended the conference & visited the exhibition. Samskritha Students of nearby High School, PU & Degree College and People with interest & concern about Samskritha participated in the program. Fest of Samskritha created a positive mood among the public & students in favor of Samskritha studies. Public & students who attended the event were exposed to the richness & variety of Samskritha literature .
