January 3rd, marks the birthday of the ‘Mother of Indian Feminism’ Savitribai Phule, who is regarded as a social reformer, an educationist and a poetess. Phule, along with her husband Jyoti Rao Phule, dedicated her life to the cause of women’s rights and education. She is considered to be an important figure in the social reform movement.
Our College library Celebrated Savithribhai Phule 189th Jayanthi on 03rd Jan 2020. Principal Dr. Shivashskar Bhat Presided the program and addressed the students and also Prof. Ramesh Kulai, Director Administration Govinda Dasa College , Vice Principal Prof. P Krishnamurthy precised the programme. Prof. Marcel Louis Mascarehnas Department of Hindi, Prof. Neelappa V, Dept. of Chemistry, Smt. Sudha U, Dept of Political Science , Smt. Rashmi Kayarmar, Dept. of History and Prof. Shivanna Prabhu, (Lecturer in Kannada, SVS College, Bantwal ) and Umesh (Member of Parents Teacher Association, GDC Surathkal) was present in the program.
