12th August on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Padmashree Dr S.R. Ranganathan (Father of Library Science, India),
we are celebrating National Librarian Day. It’s a chance to be thankful for all the knowledge that librarians possess. You may think of them as book-slingers who spend all day cataloguing and reshelving, but librarians play a much more important role.
Govinda Dasa College Library and IQAC jointly organized Librarian’s day on 12th Aug 2021. Inner wheel club President Smt. Shaila Mohan and Inner wheel club member and writer Smt. Sathyvathi Harikrishna was the chief guest. In this program Smt. Sathyvathi Harikrishna donated books worth Rs. 5356/- to our library. and Inner wheal club member Smt. Yamuna P Rao and Jayaram Shreyan also donated books. Our Principal Prof. P. Krishnamurthy was president in this programme. Staff Secretary Marcel Louis Mascarenhas were also present on the stage.
