On account of World Blood Donor Day June 14th 2023.The NSS Units Of the College along with IQAC and Red Ribbon Club organised a Blood Donation Camp in association with JCI Surathkal and Government Lady Goschen Hospital Mangalore on the 12th of June 2023 in the Physics laboatory. World Blood Donor Day Event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary ,unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Dr Durgaprasad M.R, Government Lady Goschen Hospital,Mangalore who also was the resource person.The guests of Honour were Shri Praveen Kumar,District Co-ordinator Indian Red Cross Society. Prof. Ramesh Kulai,Director Administration , Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal. Shri Ramachandra,Administrator Joint Secretary , H.V Sangha Surathkal. Vice Principal and Student Welfare Officer Prof Ramesh Bhat S.G presided over the function. NSS program Officer Smt Akshatha V welcomed the gathering.NSS Student Coordinators Swathi Bhat ,Anisashree,Preethesh and Prayag were also present. Nearly 60 NSS volunters donated blood on this occassion.
