As a part of practical training of Consumer and Human Rights certificate course, it is mandatory to visit government organisations. Also with the aim of changing the negative attitude towards police prevailing in the society. With this intention students of Consumer and Human Rights along with students of NSS, Humanities Association and Sport Association visited Surathkal Police Station on 3rd Of July 2023, Sub Inspector of Police , Shri Mahesh Prasad interacted with the students .He spoke on the history of policing , the Indian Penal Code and on challenges faced by the police department in the recent years. There was good interaction by the students and the police officer. Mrs Daya Suvarna, Co-ordinator of Consumer and Human Rights and NSS Program Officer,Dr Prashanth M.D, Physical Director, Mrs Rashmi Kayamar,Department of History,Shri Vinod Shetty,Director Fine arts accompanied the students.
