Digantha Fest 2023

The ‘Digantha’ Cultural Fest at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal was held on 3rd June 2023. The fest aimed to provide students with a platform to showcase their talents and foster cultural awareness and appreciation. Sri Shreeranga H, Secretary of Hindu Vidyadayinee Sangha (R), Surathkal, inaugurated the event. The esteemed presence of Prof. P. Krishnamoorthy, Principal of GDC Surathkal, and Prof. Ramesh Kulai, Director-Administration, further added to the significance of the occasion.

Sri Shreeranga H, in his inaugural address, emphasized the importance of cultural festivals in the academic curriculum.

Prof. Ramesh Kulai, the Director-Administration at GDC Surathkal, graced the event as the Chief Guest. His presence at the festival added prestige and encouragement to the participants. Prof. Kulai’s address focused on the significance of cultural events in fostering a sense of community and promoting holistic development among students.

The ‘Digantha’ Cultural Fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges affiliated with Mangalore University. The fest encompassed a diverse range of competitions including IT Manager, Elocution, Fashion Show, Math Mania, Best Management Team, Marketing, Human Resource, Group Singing, Street Play, Group Dance, Documentary, Face Painting, Poster making, chemistry, Physics, all-rounder.

The participants demonstrated exceptional talent and creativity, showcasing their skills in front of an appreciative audience. The Fest served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity and passion, fostering an environment that nurtures holistic growth .

The overall Championship trophy was bagged by SDM College, Ujire and the overall runners  trophy  was bagged by Vaikunta Baliga College of Law.
