The orientation programme was organized by the Department of Commerce & Business Administration for the students of 1st year B.Com and BBA courses at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal on August 28, 2023.
Dr. Ganesh Acharya, Faculty, Mastered the Ceremony and briefed the activities in the class and about the college.
Prof. P. Krishnamoorthy, Principal welcomed the 1st year students of the B.Com and BBA courses. Mr. Ramesha Bhat S. G, Vice Principal, greeted the students and informed them about the college and the class in general.
Dr. Sowmya Praveen K, HOD of Commerce, updated the subjects of study for the 1st year students. Dr. Bhagyalaxmi M, Assistant Professor, informed about the attendance, mode of teaching, assessment activities, and co-curricular activities. Mr. Dhanyakumar Venkannavar, Assistant Professor, instructed the students about rules and regulations on class timings, examinations, dress code, ban of mobile phones, prayer, general conduct, cleanliness, and student support programmes. Mrs. Shilparani K, Faculty, provided information on the class timetable and instructions to students.
Dr. Prashanth.M.D, Physical Director, gave information on Sports and Games activities in the college and its importance in academics. Mrs. Akshatha Shetty, Faculty, Department of Kannada, informed about NSS activities and its importance.
Ms. Shridevi, HOD Business Administration, and Ms. Punitha.R Faculty were present for the programme. Mrs. Shilparani K proposed the Vote of Thanks.
