Inauguration of Commerce and Business Administration Association and Entrepreneurship Cell

The inauguration programme of the Commerce and Business Administration Association and Entrepreneurship Cell was organized by the Department of Commerce & Business Administration on 9th November, 2023 at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal.

Mr. Nitin Vas, founder of Paper Seed, Pakshikere was the Chief Guest and Inaugurator of the programme. He inaugurated the activities of Commerce and Business Administration Association and Entrepreneurship Cell of Govinda Das College, Surathkal and delivered a special lecture on social entrepreneurship.

In the special lecture sir said, by starting eco-friendly small businesses, development works of the society can be carried out with self-employment. He also said that waste materials can be cleverly processed and creatively made into new products.

The products of Paper Seed like Mangalore Gombe and ‘Esedere Sasi Huttuva Mask’ have been praised by many people in the world. He said that environmental development work is going on to develop a lake in Pakishikere area and bring birds.

Presided over by Principal, Prof. P. Krishnamurthy said that students should be involved in rural development activities. He said that more opportunities are available for setting up of social concern enterprises.

Head of Commerce Department Dr. Sowmya Praveen K., gave introductory remarks. Riya of final BBA introduced the guests. Pallavi of final B.com welcomed the gathering and Sumanth Shenoy of final B.com gave vote of thanks. Poorvi Ashok Kumar of final BBA narrated the programme.
