The National Service Scheme unit of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, in association with Red Ribbon Club, Rotaract Club, Youth Red Cross Unit, Mahila Vedike and Inner Wheel Club of Surathkal organized AIDS Awareness Programme on 7th December 2023 at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal.
Dr. Kishor Kumar M., Principal of District Health and Family Welfare Training Center, Surathkal was resource person of the programme and said that young people should be aware of deadly diseases. AIDS disease can be controlled with proper precautions and the number of AIDS patients are decreasing in the current period.
Prof.P.Krishnamurthy, the principal of the college who presided and spoke, said that as the literate society develops, awareness about deadly diseases is a good development.
Vice Principal Prof. Ramesh Bhat S.G, National Service Scheme Officers Mrs. Akshata V., and Dr. Bhagyalaxmi M, President of Inner Wheel Club of Surathkal, Mrs. Savithri Ramesh Bhat, Coordinator of Rotaract Club Mrs. Shilparani K., Coordinator of Mahila Vedike Ms. Shridevi and Coordinators of Youth Red Cross Unit Mrs. Poornima J Gokhale and Mr. Ashwin were present.
Prizes were distributed on the occasion to the winners of the Essay Competition conducted on AIDS Awareness on 6th December, 2023. welcomed.
NSS Volunteer Tejaswini narrated the program, Varsha welcomed and introduced the guests and Sandhya gave vote of thanks.
