Consumerism is probably the most embedded philosophy in our daily lives. So it is important that we as consumers understand that how we can navigate through this consumerist environment we are under, especially concerning the goods and services we consume on a daily basis.
The Consumer Forum and the Department of Business Administration as a part of the field visit of the consumer certificate course organised a visit to the Government offices . On 5th of March 2024, visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office and visited the Food and Civil Supplies Department. The Officials briefed the students to how the Department works. It was followed by a visit to the District Consumer Court where students were told about the court proceedings and how a consumer could seek justice relating to violation of rights to consumers. Students next visited the LokaYuktha office. The Lokayuktha SP addressed the students on how they work .
A total of 49 students along with the cordinator of Consumer Forum Mrs Daya Suvarna and Ms Shreedevi, HOD of BBA were a part of this visit. MS Poorvi of Final BBA and Ms Smitha of Second B.A Proposed tthe vote of thanks to the officers who took time to provide information.
