As part of the Government of India’s ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ – Amrit Kalash Yatra campaign, the NSS unit of Govinda Dasa College organized a soil collection activity in and around Surathkal on September 29, 2023. This event was held in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mangaluru, the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Mangaluru, and Sri Vidya Vinayaka Yuvaka Mandala, Haleangadi.
Members of Nehru Yuva Kendra, the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, and Sri Vidya Vinayaka Yuvaka Mandala, along with NSS volunteers, collected soil from various areas of Surathkal and Haleangadi. The activity was coordinated by National Service Scheme Officer Mrs. Akshata V.
Later, the collected soil from different areas sent to New Delhi through Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mangaluru.
