Human Rights Day is observed on December 10th annually , commemorating the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights(UDHR) by the UN General Assembly in 1948. The theme for 2024 is “Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now,” emphasizing the ongoing relevance of Human Rights in Everyday life and the need for Societal transformation to uphold dignity and justice for all.
Keeping the above factors we at Govinda Dasa College, celebrated Human rights day 2024. Dr Ashalatha P. H.O.D of Political Science spoke on Human Rights and Responsibilities of the Youth. Principal , Prof Krishnamoorthy presided. The Program was jointly organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Department of Political Science , Human Rights and Consumer Forum and Mahila Vedike.
