World Water Day 2025, is observed on March 22, highlights Glacier Preservation to address the water crisis. With 2.2 billion people lacking safe water, the UN-Water Development Report focuses on glacier’s role in sustaining freshwater. The Internal quality assurance Cell, Science Association, Consumer & Human Rights Forum in association with Department of Minor Irrigation & Ground Water Development D.K District, Govt . of Karnataka., organized a workshop on the Theme WATER FOR LIFE; Water Conservation; Sustainable Use of Groundwater. Sri Jayachandra Hatwar H.,President H.V Sangha, Surathkal, Inaugurated the Workshop. The Resource person Sri Sheik Davood, Senior Geologist, Dept of Ground Water Development, D.k District, Govt of Karnataka, Spoke on Water Conservation which is the need of the hour. He highlighted the dangers of depletion of water resources and how all of us can save water resources. Director Administration , Prof Gopal M Gokhale Spoke on the occasion. Dr Ashalatha P, welcomed the gathering. Mrs Adithi , Department of Chemistry was the Master of the Ceremony. Prof. Hareesha Acharya P, Principal of the College presided over the program.
