Govinda Dasa College PTA and Alumni Association Celebrate Teachers’ Day with Gratitude-2025

Teachers have a significant role to play in shaping society. It is their responsibility to work with dedication and discipline, and to convince students that education is not a punishment but a strong foundation for a prosperous future, said Prof. Ramesh Bhat S.G., Administrative Director of Govinda Dasa College, Suratkal, managed by Hindu Vidyadayani Sangh (R).

He was speaking as the chief guest at the Teachers’ Day program jointly organized by the Govinda Dasa College Alumni Association (R) and the Parents-Teachers Association.

Presiding over the function, the Principal of the college, Prof. Harish Acharya P., highlighted the greatness of the Guru-Shishya relationship in Indian tradition. He stressed the importance of teachers imparting life values along with intellectual knowledge. He also appreciated the Alumni Association and the Parent-Teacher Association for celebrating Teachers’ Day in a meaningful way every year.

Dr. Saigeeta, President of the Alumni Association, delivered the welcome address. Harish Kumar, President of the Parent-Teacher Association, proposed the vote of thanks. Leeladhar Shetty, Secretary of the Alumni Association, read out the list of felicitators.
