The ACCA Orientation Programme was successfully organized on 30th July 2025 at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal by the Association of Commerce and Business Administration in collaboration with the Career Guidance and Placement Cell. A total of 102 first-year B.Com and BBA students participated in the event, coordinated by Dr. Sowmya Praveen K , with resource person Kaustub Prakash Puthran and guest speakers including Thejaswini. The session aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the ACCA qualification, its global recognition, course structure, and career opportunities. It highlighted the integration of ACCA with the existing academic curriculum, eligibility and registration process, and the benefits of pursuing such an international certification. Students were guided on balancing academic and professional commitments while also learning about the value of ACCA in today’s competitive job market.
The programme featured an inspiring address by ACCA representatives and coordinators, covering the course framework, examination patterns, study resources, and career prospects in fields such as auditing, taxation, consulting, and financial management. Guest speaker Kaustub Prakash Puthran shared valuable insights on real-life challenges, balancing studies with training, and the global scope of ACCA. The interactive Q&A session allowed students to clarify doubts regarding exam exemptions, internships, study techniques, and time management. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving students motivated, confident, and well-informed about pursuing the ACCA qualification. Overall, the orientation created awareness of international accounting certifications and encouraged students to embark on their ACCA journey with enthusiasm and preparedness.
