The Department of Post-Graduate Studies in Commerce and Science organized an Employability Skills Workshop Series on the topic “Creative Thinking and Problem Solving” on 17th April 2025. The workshop aimed to equip students with essential skills to enhance their employability and career prospects.
Mr. Y. Raghavendra Rao, Trustee of VIRAT Surathkal, was the Chief Guest for the programme. He inspired students with his insightful address, emphasizing the significance of creative thinking in today’s dynamic job market.Mr. Prajwal, Co-Founder of UPSKIL, was the resource person of the day. He conducted an engaging and interactive session focusing on strategies and techniques to enhance problem-solving abilities through innovative thinking.Prof. Hareesha Acharya P., Principal of GDC, presided over the programme and motivated students to take full advantage of such learning opportunities.

Dr. Sridevi and Dr. Pratheeksha were felicitated for being awarded their Ph.D. degrees. Mr. Keerthan and Ms. Ashwitha were honoured for successfully clearing the NET and KSET examinations. Final Year M.Com students Ms. Varshitha and Ms. Vaibhavi were recognized for their sincere commitment and success in clearing the UGC-NET.
The event was a grand success, providing students with both knowledge and motivation to enhance their skills and pursue academic and professional excellence. A total of 24 M.Sc. and 37 M.Com. Students benefited from this workshop.
