International Womens Day 2026 March 18th

The United Nations  theme for International Women’s Day 2026, is “Rights ,Justice, Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”

On the occasion  of the International Women’s Day, an awareness programme on women’s health was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Consumer Forum, and Mahila Vedike . The programme  focused on medical awareness for women and emphasized the  importance of preventive health care. Delivering the keynote address resource person Dr Anupta Shetty, Assistant Professsor, Department of OBG. Srinivas Institute of  Medical Sciences,  highlighted that women must adopt a “Health is Wealth” policy in their daily lives. She stressed the importance  of regular health  check- ups, balanced  nutrition, mental  well being and early dtection of diseases  to ensure a healthy lifestyle.

The event was presided over by Prof. Hareesha Acharya P, Pricipal of the college. The programme was coordinated by  Ms Daya Suvarna and Dr Shridevi, staff cordinators of Mahila Vdike and Consumer Forum.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Tejasvi, First B.A, followed by the introduction of the guest by Rachana Second BBA. The programme was compered by Manjula Third B.A and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Nandini Third B.A
