Praavinya 2025, an intercollegiate PU fest, emerged as a vibrant celebration of knowledge, culture and talent, bringing together the finest expressions of student brilliance on one dynamic platform. The core objective of this year’s edition was to create an inclusive space where academic excellence meets artistic expression, encouraging students to learn, compete, shine and inspire one another.
Through a thoughtful blend of intellectually stimulating competitions and spirited cultural performances, Praavinya 2025 successfully provided opportunities for every participant to showcase their unique abilities. The festival promoted learning, healthy competition and holistic development, while honouring excellence in all its forms. Motivating students to explore their full potential and express their creativity with confidence remained the central vision of this event.
The fest was inaugurated by Sri Sriranga H, Secretary, Hindu Vidyaadaayini Sangha R, Surathkal.
A special highlight of the day was the presence of Ms. Remona Yvette Perera, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She holds an extraordinary 170-hour non-stop dance marathon world record, recognized and honoured by the Golden Book of World Records, London (2025). Her dedication, perseverance and remarkable achievement served as an inspiration to all participants. She was felicitated by the institution for her outstanding artistic contributions.
The occasion was graced by Prof. Ramesh Bhat, Director – Administration of the college.
Prof. Hareesh Acharya, Principal, delivered the Presidential Remarks.
Also present were Prof. Neelappa V (Vice Principal), Prof. Vaman Kamath, Mr. Dhanya Kumar (IQAC Coordinator), Dr. Sowmya Pravin K (Student Welfare Officer), Ms. Geetha K (Staff Secretary), and Dr. Ashalatha P (Praavinya Coordinator).
The Valedictory Function was honoured by the presence of Sri Jayachandra Hatwar, President, Hindu Vidyaadaayini Sangha R, Surathkal, and Mr. Roopesh Shetty, Entrepreneur, Surathkal.
In the overall championship, St. Aloysius PU College emerged as the Winners, while Govinda Dasa PU College secured the Runners-up Trophy. 09 colleges have participated in the Programme.
Praavinya 2025 truly stood as a testament to talent, determination and the collective spirit of excellence.
