World Environment Day 2022 was held on 6th June 2022 @ Govinda Dasa P U College Surathkal in association with Karnataka State Pollution Control Forum, District Administration, District Legal Services Authority, Forest Department, Public Education Department, Govinda Dasa College Surathkal and Industries Of Mangalore.
Environmental Procession was started at 8.30 A.M in the morning from Govinda Dasa College and students from Govinda Dasa College and students of other schools were participated in the same.
A Street Play was performed to create awareness among the students as well as general public on the Theam Save Environment.
Planting a sapling was done by Forest Department Officers along with the Principal Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal.
World Environmental Day programme was followed by a Formal Programme in Govinda Dasa P U College Auditorium. Smt Shobha.B.G, Senior Civil Judge – Member Secretary , District Legal Services Authority D.K District Mangalore, was the President of the Programme.

The programme was also followed by Falicitation to – Amai Mahalinga Naik , Padhmashree award Recipient, Shri Madhava Ullal ,An Environmentalist.
