On the occasion of Death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Martyr’s Day was celebrated on 30th of January 2023 by the NSS unit of Govinda Dasa College Surathkal. Martyr’s Day is celebrated to remember and acknowledge the efforts and sacrifice of the freedom fighters who worked for the betterment of the country. Prof Ramesh Kulai Director Administration Govinda Dasa College was the guest of honour who spoke on the relevance of Martyr’s Day. Prof P Krishnamurthy principal of the college was the president of the function. NSS Officer Akshatha V, NCC Officer Capt Sudha U and Dr Vijayalaxmi were present. Two minutes of silence was observed to pay homage to the great souls by the NSS volunteers and everyone present.
