Road Safety Awareness Programme is an initiative that aims to promote safe behaviour on the roads and reduce the number of road accidents and fatalities. To create awareness on Road safety, NSS Unit and Consumer Forum Govinda Dasa College and Lions Club Surathkal, jointly organised a program on ‘Road Safety Awareness’ to create awareness among students about the importance of road safety measures. Sub Inspector of Police North Traffic Police Station Mangaluru Smt Chandrama spoke on the occasion. The Program was presided by Prof P Krishnamoorty ,Principal Govinda Dasa College , Lion Jayanth Shetty, First Vice President Lions Club Surathkal was the Guest of Honour. Secretary of Lions Club Surathkal Shashikala Shetty also graced the occasion.The program was compered by Sharanya Ist BCA, Sowparnika Naik of Second BCom welcomed the gathering, Shama Farhana of Ist B.A proposed the vote of thanks. NSS Secretaries Swathi Bhat, Preethesh, Prayag Naik and Anishashree were also present along with the NSS officers.
