FELICITATION PROGRAMME AT MULKI ARAMANE

A felicitation programme and the handing over of a short research paper titled “Mulki Seemeya Arasu Parampare,” conducted by NSS programme officer Mrs. Akshatha V., to Shri. M. Dugganna Savantaru, Mulki Seeme Arasaru of Mulki Aramane, was organized at Mulki Palace, Haleyangadi, on February 25, 2024.

The event was graced by the chief guest, Sri. Yaduveer Krishnadutta Chamaraj Wadiyar, Maharaja of Mysore Palace. He spoke about the unique heritage and culture of the state palace, emphasizing the importance of understanding it deeply. He mentioned the traditional sport of Tulunadu, ‘Kambala,’ organized by regional palace kings and highlighted the importance of continuing the palace’s social programmes.

Sri. M. Dugganna Savantaru, Mulki Seeme Arasaru, presided over the programme and expressed his pleasure at the presence of the Maharaja of Mysuru. He viewed this as the beginning of many such programmes.

The Maharaja of Mysore was felicitated by Mulki Seeme Palace in the presence of dignitaries. Achievers in various fields were also honored during the programme. Hitha Umesh, the NSS Secretary and National Republic Day Parade – 2024 participant from the college, was honored on this occasion. NSS volunteers presented a portrait of the Great Kings of Mysore to Wadiyar.

The event was attended by Sri. Jayachandra Hathwar, President of Hindu Vidyadayinee Sangha, Surathkal, Mulki Palace Welfare Trust Director Sri. Gautham Jain, Sri. Sharath Karnad, Govinda Dasa College Principal Prof. Krishnamoorthy P., NSS volunteers, and other dignitaries. The programme was narrated by Hitha Umesh. Later, the Maharaja of Mysuru enjoyed a Yakshagana performance of Tulu Nadu.
