The Department of P.G. Studies in Commerce, in association with IQAC and Career Development and Placement Cell, successfully organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness orientation program on 09/10/2024 to foster the entrepreneurial mindset among students and encourage them to explore business opportunities. Ms. Sruthi G K, Assistant Director, Br. MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Government of India, Mangalore, was the resource person of the day. Prof. Krishnamoorthy P., Principal of GDC, presided over the program. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Sruthi G K, Assistant Director, Br. MSME Development. She has shared her experience and insights on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including various schemes of government for the entrepreneur and creating a business plan. Dr. Gopal M Ghokale, Director-Administration, Mr. Jayachandra Hatwar H., president Hindu Vidyadayinee Sangha (R) and VIRAT, Sri Vishwaraj I – Secretary VIRAT, Sri Srikanth T., Treasurer of VIRAT , Dr. Ganesha Acharya-Cooordinator of PG Studies in Commerce, and faculty members were present for the program. An Orientation on Entrepreneurship was sponsored by Vidyadayinee Institute of Rural Development and Agricultural Training (VIRAT). The program was compered by Ms. Vaibhavi, a final-year M.com. student. Ms. Prithvi, a final M.Com. student, proposed a vote of thanks on the orientation program. A total of 25 M.Com. students benefited from the program.
