The Department of Commerce and Management successfully organized Udbhav, a management fest designed especially for final-year B.Com. and B.B.A. students. The fest was a vibrant platform for showcasing talents and fostering creativity among participants. Dr. Sowmya Praveen, Head of the Department of Commerce, inaugurated the fest. Her inspiring address set the tone for the day. The event’s chief guest, Ms. Sridevi, shared her insights into the importance of co-curricular activities for holistic development. The fest featured a total of six competitive events, each designed to challenge and enhance the students’ managerial and entrepreneurial skills. These events were a blend of individual and team-based activities that tested creativity, problem-solving, leadership, and strategic thinking. The winners of each event were honored with cash prizes, a token of appreciation for their outstanding performances and dedication. The concluding ceremony was graced by Dr. Santosh Alva, Head of the Department of Kannada of GDC, and Mr. Vinod Shetty, Cultural Instructor of GDC. Their presence added prestige to the event, and they shared motivating words that emphasized the importance of such platforms in shaping future leaders.
