On August 31, 2025, NSS volunteers of Govinda Dasa College participated in a book release programme held at Ravindra Kalabhavana, University College, Mangalore. The event was organized in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Shanti Pratishthana, Mangalore, to launch the Kannada translation of the book “Subhas Chandra Bose,” translated by Prof. K.E. Radhakrishna.
The programme was graced by several distinguished guests, including Prof. P.L. Dharma, Chairperson, and Sri Dinesh Gundurao, who jointly inaugurated the event. The presence of Prof. Sumantra Bose, grandson of Sharath Chandra Bose, as the Chief Guest, added great significance to the occasion.
Speakers at the event reflected on the life, courage, and patriotism of Subhas Chandra Bose, emphasizing his vital role in India’s freedom struggle. Their words served as an inspiration to all, especially the youth and NSS volunteers in attendance.
The event was a resounding success, not only celebrating the release of an important literary work but also honouring the enduring legacy of one of India’s greatest freedom fighters.
