The Department of Post-Graduate Studies in Commerce organized an SAP Awareness Program on 24 September 2025, exclusively for M.Com students to enhance their knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their applications in the corporate world. The session provided students with detailed insights into SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing), one of the most widely used ERP software solutions across industries. Mr Arun Shiv Salian from SAP Edge Learning was the Resource person of the day. He highlighted the importance of SAP in business operations, such as finance, accounting, supply chain management, and human resources. Students were introduced to the career opportunities available for commerce graduates with SAP skills, along with the relevance of SAP certification in the global job market.
A total of 39 students have benefited from this session. This initiative by the department aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, equipping M.Com students with awareness of essential technological tools that support modern business practices.
