As part of its regular community service initiatives, the NSS Unit of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal organized a Beach Cleaning Drive on 21st September 2025 at Doddakopla Beach, Surathkal, in collaboration with the Lions Club and Leo Club Surathkal.
NSS volunteers actively participated in the drive, which aimed to raise awareness about marine pollution and the importance of preserving coastal ecosystems. The students cleaned up litter, plastic waste, and other non-biodegradable materials scattered across the beach, contributing to a cleaner environment and spreading the message of sustainability.
The activity not only emphasized the role of youth in environmental conservation but also gave students a hands-on experience in public service and teamwork.
