As part of the NSS Day celebrations, the NSS volunteers of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, paid a heartfelt visit to the Lions Special School in Surathkal on the afternoon of September 24, 2025. The visit aimed to promote inclusivity, compassion, and community engagement – core values of the National Service Scheme.
During their time at the school, the volunteers organized a variety of engaging activities and games for the students, creating a joyful and interactive environment. The volunteers also spent quality time with the children, fostering a sense of connection and emotional support.
On this occasion, NSS Programme Officer Mrs. Akshatha V. addressed the gathering and shared the purpose and significance of such outreach programs. She emphasized how these visits not only bring smiles to the faces of the special children but also help NSS volunteers develop empathy, understanding, and social responsibility.
The program concluded with the distribution of sweets to the students, leaving everyone with warm memories and a sense of fulfillment. The visit stood as a testament to the NSS motto “Not Me, But You” highlighting the importance of serving others with dedication and humility.
