Talk on Moral Values and Social Services-2025

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Value Education Club of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, in association with Kuthethoor Govinda Dasa Charitable Trust, successfully organized a spiritual talk on “Moral Values and Social Responsibilities” on 05 October 2025 at Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaladevi, Mangalore.

The programme was graced by Srimat Swami Jithakamanandaji Maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaladevi, Mangalore, as the distinguished resource person. The objective of the talk was to inculcate moral values, ethical conduct and a sense of social responsibility among students.

In his enlightening address, Swami Jithakamanandaji Maharaj emphasized the importance of moral values such as truthfulness, compassion, self-discipline, and selfless service to society. He highlighted the role of value-based education in shaping responsible and disciplined citizens. By citing examples from Indian philosophy and the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, he inspired the audience to lead a purposeful, ethical, and socially responsible life.

The talk was highly interactive and thought-provoking, encouraging students to reflect on their duties towards society and the nation. A total of 52 students benefited from the programme. Dr. Santhosh Alva, Coordinator of the Value Education Club, was present and actively involved in the successful conduct of the programme.

The programme concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants, fulfilling the objectives of the Value Education Club.
