“CMA Orientation Programme: A Step Towards Professional Excellence”

REPORT ON ORIENTATION PROGRAMME ON CMA

The Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, organized an Orientation Programme on CMA (Cost and Management Accounting) on 5 June 2026 at 9:30 AM in Room No. 2.

The programme was hosted by Dr. Pratheeksha, who warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the significance of the orientation session. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Hareesha Acharya P, Principal, with the support of Dr. Shreedevi, HOD of BBA, and Dr. Sowmya Praveen, SWO and HOD of B.Com.

The resource persons, CMA Thimmappa Shetty and Ms. Thejaswini from MIPL Centre, provided valuable insights into the CMA course, its structure, eligibility criteria, examination pattern, and career opportunities. They emphasized the growing demand for CMA professionals in various sectors and explained how students can pursue the CMA qualification alongside their degree programme.

The session was highly informative and interactive. Students actively participated in the discussion and raised questions regarding the course, examination process, internship opportunities, and career prospects. The resource persons addressed all queries comprehensively and encouraged students to explore professional courses such as CMA to enhance their employability and professional competence.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource persons, management, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation. The orientation programme successfully created awareness about the CMA profession and inspired students to consider it as a rewarding career option.
