Orientation on Cost and Management Accountancy for Aspiring Professionals:

Orientation Programme on CMA Conducted for BBA Students

The Association of Commerce and Business Administration, in association with the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, organized an Orientation Programme on Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) for the second and third-year BBA students on 31 July 2026 in the BBA classroom. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the CMA professional qualification, its academic structure, and the diverse career opportunities it offers.

The resource person, CMA Thimmappa Shetty, delivered an informative session highlighting the CMA course structure, eligibility criteria, examination pattern, and the increasing demand for CMA professionals across sectors such as manufacturing, banking, finance, consulting, and corporate management. He encouraged students to pursue professional qualifications alongside their degree programme to strengthen their knowledge and enhance their employability in the competitive job market.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students clarified their queries regarding the course, registration process, and career prospects. The orientation proved to be highly informative and motivating, equipping students with valuable insights to make informed decisions about their professional careers.
