The Department of PG Studies in Commerce, Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, organised an Interactive Alumni Session titled “Inspire the Young Minds” on 7th September 2026 at the PG Centre. The programme aimed to provide students with career guidance, industry insights, and motivation for professional development.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Dr Bharathy, Lecturer, Department of PG Studies in Commerce, welcomed the gathering, followed by introductory remarks by Dr Ganesh Acharya, Coordinator, PG Centre, and Prof. Hareesh Acharya P., Principal , Govinda Dasa College, who highlighted the relevance and significance of the programme in preparing students for the corporate world.
The session was led by distinguished alumni: Mr. Melrick Pinto, Payment Lifecycle Specialist, JP Morgan; Mr. B. Suman, Associate in Loss Summaries and Satisfaction, GCEO; and Mr. Sushan, Update Analyst, Gallagher Centre of Excellence. They shared valuable insights on career opportunities, corporate expectations, resume preparation, skill development, and career planning. The interactive session provided students with practical industry exposure and encouraged them to pursue their career aspirations with confidence.
