Kabaddi is a high energy contact team sport originating from ancient India. blending elements of wrestling ,rugby, and tag Govinda Dasa College organised GKL SEASON 2 on 22nd November 2022. Shri Sriranga H, Secretary Vidyadayinee sangha in his inaugural address spoke on the importance of Games like kabaddi which increases Physical fitness and mental wellbeing of individuals should be given more importance. Guest of Honor Prof. Ramesh Bhat S.G , Director- Administrator Govinda Dasa College Suratkal also spoke on the occasion. Suratkal North MLA Dr Bharath Shetty conveyed greetings and blessings to the event.
President of the Event Principal of the college, Prof Hareesh Acharya in his presidential address spoke on how Kabaddi has become an international game, in this direction the college is organizing the event for the second time. Prof . Neelappa V, Vice Principal of the college and Physical Director were present on the occasion. Santhosh Katipala and Puneet were the commentators. Mohan K, Rakshit and Manjappa were the referees and Bhavish was the Scorer. Disha was the Master of the Ceremony.
Sri Balakrishna K. Vice -president H.V Sangha was the Chief Guest and distributed the prize, Shakti Team bagged the championship and the Runners up was Roaring Lions. Trishul was adjudged as the best Rider Uttam and Mahesh bagged the all rounder prize.
