Empowering Future Bankers: Orientation Programme on Banking Coaching

The Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, conducted an Orientation Programme on Banking Coaching for the final-year B.Com and BBA students in their respective classrooms. The primary objective of the programme was to familiarize students with the wide range of career opportunities available in the banking sector and to emphasize the significance of structured preparation for competitive banking examinations.

The session was led by Mr. Ashish from T.I.M.E. Institute, Mangalore, who shared comprehensive information about careers in the banking industry. He explained the recruitment procedures followed by public sector banks and provided an overview of the examination patterns of IBPS, SBI, RBI, and other banking recruitment examinations. He also discussed the essential competencies required for success, including quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, English language skills, and awareness of current affairs. In addition, he introduced the banking coaching programmes offered by T.I.M.E. Institute and explained how they assist aspirants in preparing effectively for competitive examinations.

During the session, Mr. Ashish encouraged students to commence their preparation at an early stage, remain disciplined in their study routine, and adopt efficient time-management techniques. He also engaged with the students through an interactive question-and-answer session, addressing their concerns related to eligibility criteria, examination schedules, preparation strategies, and career advancement opportunities in the banking sector. His guidance motivated the students to view banking as a rewarding career option and inspired them to pursue competitive examinations after completing their graduation.

The programme concluded with a sincere expression of gratitude to the resource person for his informative presentation and valuable guidance.
