On 7th December 2022, Department of Commerce & Business Administration , Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal in association with Mangalore University Commerce Teachers’ Association ® (MUCTA) organized a workshop on “Investor Awareness Programme” for all Final and Second Year B.Com students & First, Second & Final year BBA Students of GDC i.e., 183 students. It was a full day programme which was held in A V Hall from 9.30.a.m to 4.00 p.m . Sri H Sreeranga ,Secretary, H V Sangha, Surathkal was the chief guest of the programme. Prof. Ramesh Kulai , Director Administration, GDC, Surathkal ; Ms. Shridevi HOD of Commerce and Ms. Punitha R- HOD of Business Administration were present on the dais . Prof. Krishnamoorty P. Principal , Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal was the President of the programme .
The programme was divided into 3 sessions . The first session was taken up by Mr. Naveen Rego, SEBI Regd CFP from 10.20 a.m to 11.20 a.m who spoke on Financial Literacy.
Session two was handled by Mr. Leo Amal A, Senior Branch Manager, Franklin Templeton Pvt. Ltd., from 11.30a.m to 12.45 p.m . He shared his insights about Time Value of Money.
After the lunch break the third session was sponsored by Ms. Sapna Shenoy M, Investment Service Professional who conducted practical sessions on Personal Investment from 1.45 p.m to 3.45 pm.
Students participated enthusiastically throughout the programme and enjoyed each session. Ms. Lavanya – III BBA Mastered the Ceremony .
