Youth Red Cross annual camp which was held from March 20th to 23rd March at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal.
Day 1: Inauguration and First Aid Training
The YRC camp was inaugurated on 20th March by Sri. Yathish Baikampady, state representative of IRCS. The Key note address was delivered by Dr. Ganapathi Gowda, Nodal officer Mangalore university. The chief guests of the programme were Sri Varun Chowta corporator- Mangalore city corporation, Prof. Ramesh Kulai Administrative officer and Shrikanth, advisory committee member. The programme was Presided by Prof.Ramesh Bhat S.G. Programme officers Mrs. Pratheeksha and Mrs. Babitha Naveenchandra, YRC Secretaries Pallavi, Prathviraj, Rashitha and Sagar were present. Total 55 YRC volunteers benefited from the camp.
After the inauguration, the first session was taken over by Mr. Ashwin Kumar, SERV Instructor and member of IRCS Dakshina Kannada, on first aid training.
Day 2: life saving skills and disaster management.
On 21st March, 2023 , second day session was taken over by Mr. Ashwin kumar, SERV Instructor and member of IRCS Dakshina Kannada, member of state Disaster Response Team on life saving skills and disaster management.
Day 3: Personality development and life saving when drowning:
On 22nd March, the Third day session was taken over by Jc. Deeraj B Udyar, JCI President Mangalore and assisted by Jc. Sushma JCI vice president on personality development and communication skills. And on the same day, in the afternoon live session was conducted at iddya beach by Shrikanth and his team regarding lifesaving when drowning.
Day 4: Various Competitions and Valedictory ceremony
On 23rd March, On the last day of the camp ,various competitions were conducted to the YRC camp volunteers namely essay, drawing, poem writing, slogan writing on the topic “BE HUMAN KIND” and as a sum-up session quiz competitions were conducted on the basis of 4 days of training. In the afternoon camp valedictory ceremony was held, chief guests were DR. B Muralidhar Rao, former principal of Govinda Dasa College and Shwethadeepa Dasa, Member of ISCON temple Mangalore. Programe was presided by Prof. Krishnamoorthy P. Programme officers Mrs. Pratheeksha and Mrs. Babitha Naveenchandra, YRC Secretaries Pallavi, Prathviraj, Rashitha and Sagar were present.
