The NSS unit of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, organized a programme titled ‘Health Talk’ in association with Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Mukka, on May 9, 2024, at the college.
Resource persons Dr. Shamitha S. Shetty, Dr. Devika, and Dr. Suruchi from Srinivas Hospital provided insights on external bodily diseases and the spread of infections, covering their nature, common types, warning signs, risk factors, and management. The talk also addressed menstrual issues and their management specifically for the female students.
Prof. Krishnamoorthy P., the principal of the college, presided over the event and highlighted the importance of the health talk. NSS officers Mrs. Akshata V., Dr. Bhagyalaxmi M., and Dr. Sowmya Praveen K., SWO, were present. Ms. Anishashri narrated the program, Ms. Gauthami welcomed and introduced the guests, and Ms. Bhavyashree gave the vote of thanks.
