The inauguration of Swacchata Janasamparka Abhiyan, an initiative by the Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, in association with Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited, was held on campus on March 22, 2024. As part of their social service activities, the NSS units of the college joined this mission.

Sri Ranjan Bellarpady, Chief Coordinator of the Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, provided an overview of Swacchata Janasamparka Abhiyan and its significance. The event was attended by members of the Ramakrishna Mission, Prof. Krishnamoorthy P., the principal of the college, and NSS unit officers Mrs. Akshata V. and Dr. Bhagyalaxmi M.

An introductory session for this initiative was held on March 23, 2024, where Dr. Bhagyalaxmi M. explained the activity and distributed pamphlets and worksheets to the NSS volunteers. The volunteers formed teams of two and visited houses and various shops in and around Surathkal, informing the public about the abhiyan and distributing pamphlets for Swacchata Janasamparka Abhiyan. This activity took place from March 21st to March 27th, 2024.The data collected from the Swacchata Janasamparka Abhiyan was handed over to Swami Jitakamanandaji, a senior monk of the Sri Ramakrishna Mission, during his visit to the college on April 2, 2024.
