The Department of Post-Graduate Studies in Commerce organized the inauguration of the Commerce Association on 06/11/2024, followed by the Freshers’ Day celebration. Dr. Herbert Nazerath, Adjunct Professor at St. Philomena College, inaugurated the program and encouraged students to actively participate in departmental activities to enhance their skills and knowledge. Prof. Krishnamoorthy P, Principal, of GDC, presided over the event, highlighting the importance of community and collaboration in the academic journey.
Dr. Ganesh Acharya, Coordinator of M.Com, delivered the introductory remarks, setting an inspiring tone for the gathering.
The program began with a heartfelt prayer song by Ms. Jagrathi and Ms. Prithvi skillfully compered the program. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shama. Dr. Ganesh Acharya, the M.Com Co-ordinator, along with faculty members, graced the occasion. The event concluded with an interactive session where freshers had the opportunity to showcase their talents, adding enthusiasm and energy to the occasion. A total of 44 students attended, making the event both meaningful and memorable.
