The Department of Post-Graduate Studies in Commerce organized a one-day industrial visit on 15th May 2025 to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations and management.
The first visit was to Bright Flexi Industries Private Limited, Karkala, a part of the AK Bansal Group of Industries. Bright Flexi offers a wide range of packaging solutions to customers across various sectors. During the visit, Mr. Suresh Bhat, the Commercial and Accounts Head, guided the students through the company’s processes, operations, and various functional departments, providing valuable insights into the packaging industry.
The second visit was to Kavan Industries, located in the Belapu Industrial Area, Udupi District. Kavan Industries is a small-scale garment manufacturing unit. The students were introduced to the production process and various stages involved in garment manufacturing, helping them understand the working of a small-scale Industry.
The visit included students from I M.Com. and II M.Com., accompanied by faculty members of the department. It was a fruitful learning experience, offering students hands-on knowledge about industry practices, organizational structure, and the functioning of both large-scale and small-scale industries.
