Rangers State Level Camp Report (26–29 March 2026)
The Rangers State Level Camp commenced on 26th March 2026 at Lalbagh Scout Bhavan. Upon arrival in the evening, the inaugural ceremony was conducted with great enthusiasm. All participating Rangers and Rovers were organized into patrol teams, and essential guidelines for the upcoming trekking activities were clearly explained. The day concluded with a shared dinner, fostering unity and team spirit among participants.
On 27th March 2026, the day began early at 3:30 a.m. Following breakfast, the participants departed from Scout Bhavan at 6:00 a.m. and initiated their trekking journey from Sultan Battery. Informative insights about Tippu Sultan’s port near the Phalguni River were shared during the session. A memorable boat ride across the river added excitement to the experience.
The coastal trek officially began at Thannirbavi Beach. Despite the hot weather, participants actively engaged and enjoyed the unique trekking experience. Breakfast was arranged at Panambur, and refreshments were generously provided by JCCI and the Rotary Club along the route. The team reached Vidyadayinee School for lunch. In the evening, a formal flag hoisting ceremony was held, followed by a vibrant campfire program featuring cultural performances. The day ended with dinner.
On 28th March 2026, participants woke up at 4:00 a.m. and departed from Vidyadayinee School at 6:00 a.m. The day began with a beach cleaning drive organized in collaboration with JCCI and the Lions Club, promoting environmental awareness. The group then proceeded to Surathkal Lighthouse, where breakfast was served, and informative details about the lighthouse were shared.
The trek continued with short refreshment breaks along the way. Participants visited Sasihithlu Bhagavati Temple and later proceeded towards Mulki Bappanadu Temple. After lunch and a brief rest, an evening stage program featuring cultural performances was conducted. Dinner was served at Venkataramana Temple, Mulki.
On the final day, 29th March 2026, the camp concluded with a Sarva Dharma Prarthana in the morning. After breakfast, participants attended the valedictory function, where certificates were distributed. The camp officially concluded with participants departing to their respective homes, carrying memorable experiences and valuable learning.
