On 17th November 2025, the NSS Units of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, organized a Campus Cleaning Drive in association with H.V. Sangha, Surathkal, and Govinda Dasa PU College with the objective of promoting cleanliness and creating a plastic-free campus.
NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the drive and carried out a systematic cleaning of the college premises. As part of the activity, the collected waste was segregated into wet, dry, and plastic waste, encouraging proper waste management and environmentally responsible disposal practices.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers Mrs. Akshatha V. and Dr. Bhagyalaxmi M. The volunteers demonstrated dedication, teamwork, and a strong sense of social responsibility throughout the activity.
The campus cleaning drive successfully enhanced the cleanliness of the college premises while creating awareness among students about environmental conservation, sustainable waste management, and the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
