The Government of Karnataka, State NSS Cell, Youth Empowerment & Sports Department, in association with the National Disaster Management Authority and the State Disaster Management Authority, organized the Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme – Training Camp from 1st to 7th December 2025 at Avishkar Hall, Nitte University, Deralakatte, Mangaluru.
Volunteers from Govinda Dasa College actively participated in the seven-day training camp. The programme equipped NSS volunteers with essential knowledge and practical skills in disaster preparedness, emergency response, rescue operations, first aid, and community disaster management. Through expert-led sessions and hands-on training, the volunteers enhanced their ability to respond effectively during natural and man-made disasters and strengthened their commitment to community service.
