The NSS Units of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, actively participated in the “Swachhotsav” Cleaning Drive organized under the Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign on 29 September 2025 at Surathkal.
The programme was organized in association with the Rotary Club of Surathkal and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL). The cleaning drive aimed to promote cleanliness, environmental awareness, and community participation in maintaining clean and healthy surroundings.
Under the guidance of Dr. Bhagyalaxmi M., NSS Officer, the NSS volunteers enthusiastically took part in cleaning public areas, collecting waste, and spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. Members of the Rotary Club of Surathkal and MRPL also actively participated in the drive, working alongside the volunteers to make the programme a success.
The initiative instilled a sense of civic responsibility among the volunteers and highlighted the significance of collective efforts in achieving the objectives of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The programme concluded successfully with the active participation and cooperation of all stakeholders, reinforcing the message of a cleaner, greener, and healthier society.
