A Training Programme on Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign was organized by Keshav Sruthi Samvardhana Samiti, Sanghaniketana, Mangaluru, in collaboration with Moolathva Foundation Charitable Trust (R), Mangaluru, and Seva Bharathi, Karnataka, for NSS Programme Officers of various colleges. The programme was held on 17 March 2026 at Sanghaniketana, Mannagudde, Mangaluru.
Mrs. Akshatha V., NSS Programme Officer of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, actively participated in the training programme. The session aimed at creating awareness about drug abuse, its harmful effects, and preventive measures that can be adopted to curb addiction among youth.
Resource persons also highlighted the important role of NSS in educating students, conducting awareness campaigns, and engaging the youth in constructive activities to build a drug-free society. The training emphasized strategies for effective outreach and community participation in anti-drug initiatives.
The programme was highly informative and beneficial, equipping NSS Programme Officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to strengthen anti-drug awareness activities in educational institutions and contribute towards a healthier, drug-free community.
