The State NSS Cell, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka, in collaboration with the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, organized the World Youth Parliament Programme from 24 to 26 March 2026 at the Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra (GKVK) Campus, Bengaluru. The three-day programme brought together youth representatives from India and several other countries to discuss contemporary global issues, leadership, sustainable development, and the role of youth in nation-building.
Ms. Ashwini, II BCA student and NSS volunteer of Govinda Dasa College, represented the institution at this prestigious event. During the Youth Parliament sessions, she actively participated in discussions on youth leadership, environmental sustainability, social responsibility, digital empowerment, and the importance of active citizenship in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. She also exchanged ideas with delegates from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, gaining valuable insights into global perspectives on community development and civic engagement.
Her participation enhanced her communication, leadership, and decision-making skills while broadening her understanding of national and international issues. Representing the college at such a prestigious forum reflects her confidence, commitment, and dedication to the ideals of the National Service Scheme.
