Established in 1967, our college is recognized by the University Grants Commission and Government of Karnataka and it gives me immense pleasure to inform that we have been imparting quality education since inception. Our college primarily focuses on making our students a good human beings and also successful citizens.
Academic excellence and extracurricular performances of the students enlarged and enriched the educational map of Govinda Dasa College. Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce has been bagging 100% results since its inception i.e., from 2012 till date. The college had undergone 3rd cycle of Reaccreditation by NAAC in 2016 in which there was a quantum jump in CGPA points and accredited at B++ Grade.
The landscape for education has changed across the world. These changes are reflected in the adoption of innovative teaching and learning techniques, introducing the good number of add-on courses, meeting the social responsibilities by organizing society-friendly, socio-cultural and educational awareness programmes.
Our commitment to Govinda Dasa College is to provide student-centric team strategies and practices. A good number of platforms are made available to encourage creative impulses of the students to boost their self-confidence and develop leadership qualities.

The college has a distinct reputation in the field of sports and cultural activities too. There is a separate Cultural center of the college which provides practical training on all forms of performing arts. The cultural and sports teams won accolades at the state, national and international level. The cultural team bagged first prize in Pooja Kunitha held at Jharkand in 2018 at the international level.
