National Voters’ Day 2021

The National Voters’ Day is observed annually on 25 January in order to encourage more young voters to take part in the electoral process. In this regard the IQAC, the Electoral literacy Club and the Department of Political Science jointly organized and celebrated the National Voters’ Day 2021 on 25 January 2021 in our college. A Quiz competition was conducted for the BA students to create awareness about the importance of voting in a democratic process. The competition was Inaugurated by our principal Prof. P. Krishnamoorthy. In his Inaugural address he highlighted the points that the youth need to move forward in building a strong and empowered India. The National Voters’ Day reminds us about our rights and responsibilities. The programme started with the Voters’ Day Pledge. Dr.Ashalatha.P, the Coordinator of Electoral Literacy Club administered this event. The Vice-Principal Prof. Ramesh Bhat, Dean of Humanities Prof.B.Y.Kumar, IQAC Coordinator Prof.Hareesha Acharya, Mrs.Daya Suvarna, Mr.Hareesh Kumar, Mr.Manjappa, Ms. Sharmitha were present as chief guests. Dr.Ashalatha.P welcomed the gathering and Capt.Sudha.U, HOD, Department of Political Science proposed the vote of thanks. 36 students participated in the Quiz.
