The Guruvandane programme on September 5, 2023, was organized by the Parent Teacher Association and the Alumni Association to celebrate Teacher’s Day.
Dr. V.K. Yadava, retired Principal of Uppunda Government PU College, served as the chief guest for the program. Prof. P. Krishnamurthy, the Principal of the college, Administrative Director Prof. Ramesh Kulai, Vice Principal Prof. Ramesh Bhat, Administrative Director of GovindaDasa P.U. College Prof. Y.V. Ratnakar Rao from Surathkal, and Rotary Club President Yogeesh Kulai were present.
Mr. Ramesh Rao, the President of the Alumni Association, welcomed the guests.
Prof. Shailaja, PTA Secretary, introduced the chief guest, and Mr. Harish Salian, President of the PTA, proposed the vote of thanks.
Prof. Daya M. Suvarna served as the master of ceremony for the programme, and Ms. Ramitha led the prayer.
On this Occasion, teachers and non-teaching staff were honored by the Parent-Teacher Association and the Alumni Association.
Ms. Varshini, a final-year BCA student, was honored on this occasion for securing 100% in the 5th semester and 99.66% in the 6th-semester examination conducted by Mangalore University in 2023.
The Vice President of the Alumni Association, Dr. Saigeeta, Secretary Leeladhara Shetty, along with Secretary Satish Surathkal, Executive Committee members Udayabhaskar Y.V. and Mani M., Member Murari Rao, Staff Secretary Geetha K.,IQAC Coordinators and Teacher Guardian Association Executive Committee members Dharmaraj, Advisors Madhava Kotyan, and Narayana Gowda were also present.
