One-Day Workshop on UG English III Semester Syllabus (S.E.P. Scheme)
The Department of English, Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, in association with the Association of English Teachers (AET), Mangalore University, and Orient Blackswan Private Limited, successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on the UG English III Semester Syllabus (S.E.P. Scheme) on 09.09.2025 at A.V. Hall.
The workshop provided a platform for faculty members to engage in innovative teaching methods, practical strategies, and collaborative learning activities. Sri. Jayachandra Hathwar H, H.V. Sangha (R) Surathkal, delivered the inaugural address, while Prof. Parinitha, Chairperson of BOS in English, Mangalore University, presented the keynote address, sharing valuable insights into syllabus implementation.
The sessions were further enriched by the guidance of Dr. Victor Vaz, President, AET; Dr. Shreeja, Vice-President, AET; and Mr. Praveena Shetty, Secretary, AET, who led interactive and hands-on activities. The event was graced by Prof. Harish Acharya P., Principal, Govinda Dasa College, and Prof. Ramesh Bhat S.G., Director – Administration.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Kumar Madar, HOD of English, expressing heartfelt gratitude to English lecturers across Mangalore University, Department of English faculty – Sharmitha U. and Reeba Janet, staff members – Santhosh Alva, Jyothi Kamath, Akshatha V., Kittu Ramitha, Nataraj Joshi, and Mr. Dhanyakumar Venkannavar, Dr. Prashanth M.D., as well as non-teaching staff and I BA students for their invaluable support.
The programme successfully promoted collaborative learning and enriched teaching practices, marking a significant step in the advancement of English education at Govinda Dasa College.
